How to File an Insurance Claim
Before getting into the step-by-step instruction on how to file an insurance claim with your insurance company, we just want you to know that here at Sun Roofing and Home Remodeling we will work hard to repair ALL of the storm damage to your home. We work off of the "Summary" you received from your insurance company, so, there's no need to get multiple estimates from multiple contractors. But, we don't stop there, we will coordinate and manage all inspections required with your township, insurance, and/or mortgage company to minimize inconvenience to your daily routine. Our team will help guide you through every step of the claim process while you receive the insurance checks.
Step One
Call your insurance company and file your claim.
Step Three
Inform them "I have a contractor helping me through the claim process." (Feel free to give your insurance company the Sun Roofing and Home Remodeling name and number. We have a great rapport with insurance companies).
Step Five
Wait for your insurance adjuster to call and write down the following information in step six for future reference.
Step Two
Tell them "My home was damaged by hail AND wind. I believe the damage to be enough to warrant a claim. The date of loss was __________
Step Four
Write down your claim number.
Step Six
Write down the following information:
-Adjuster's Name
- Adjuster's Phone Number
-Appointment Date & Time
- Cost of Repair
